1. It’s only temporary. Good condition (or better) reduces days on the market.
2. More money in your pocket. Good condition makes your negotiating stronger. If the house doesn’t need paint, the offer should not reflect the cost of paint and even a professional painter.
3. Increases your potential come time for an appraisal. Appraisal is a big part of any Real Estate transaction requiring a mortgage. The Appraiser looks at condition of the home, if your home doesn’t appraise for contract price the transaction has the potential for falling apart.
